Sparky's
We discovered a great watering hole in Eureka Springs:
Sparky's. They boast
99 different beers, 17 of which are on tap. I sampled a
Flying Dog ale and a
Boulevard unfiltered wheat beer. I wanted to try the
Goose Island Honker's Ale, but, alas, the keg had run dry.
Mountain Vacation
Courtney and I have returned from our Arkansas vacation. (We were originally headed to Gulf Shores, AL, but Hurricane Ivan completely wiped Gulf Shores off of the map.) We vacationed in Hot Springs for two days and then we headed north. We drove through the beautiful
Ouachita National Forest and through the mountainous
Ozark National Forest to reach
Eureka Springs. We spend two nights at a wonderful Bed & Breakfast called
1884 Bridgeford House. Eureka Springs is a nineteenth century Victorian mountain village. The historic district is comprised of steep, winding streets, lined with shops and restaurants. It's a wonderful place to visit.
