iTunes 4.2 iTunes 4.2 has been released. You can download it from here or simply use the "Check for iTunes Updates" option from within the iTunes Help Menu. One of the big improvements (to me) is that you can now 'Maximize' the iTunes window. Mac users can tell you that there is no 'Maximize' button within Mac applications. All of us Windows users take it for granted. I suppose enough of us complained, so they added this standard Windows feature to iTunes.

James Bond Films Here is an accurate list of James Bond movies. Please note that Never Say Never Again and Casino Royale are not on the list. The ones starring Sean Connery are my favorites, with Goldfinger at the top of my list.
Toothlessness "Kentucky and West Virginia have the highest percentage of older adults missing all their natural teeth according to data collected in 2002 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Slightly more than 42 percent of residents 65 and older in Kentucky could make that dubious claim last year. West Virginians were a close second with 41.9 percent of seniors admitting they had shed their natural choppers."
201 Minutes I just realized something: Return of the King, at 201 minutes, is the longest movie that I've ever seen in a theater. Yes, it's longer than Titanic, which was only 174 minutes. (Of course, GWTW is longer at 238 minutes, but I wasn't around in 1939 to see it at the theater.) I don't like interruptions during a film, but I can't help but think that RoTK might play better in theaters with a 15-minute intermission. If you don't plan ahead (and drink nothing during the two hours before you go into the movie and drink nothing during the movie) you'll need to make a bathroom trip. So, what would you prefer, a 15-minute intermission or a bladder that is about to burst for the final 50 minutes of the film?

MUTE File Sharing 0.1 A new P2P client is available. It's called MUTE File Sharing. It has been designed to protect your privacy better than previous clients. How? The website explains: "The main way that MUTE protects your privacy is by avoiding direct connections between downloaders and uploaders. MUTE routes all messages, including search requests, search results, and file transfers, through the network of neighbor connections. Thus, though you know the Internet addresses of your neighbors, you do not know the Internet address of the node you are downloading from." (via Blonde) UPDATE: I can't get this stupid thing to work. Not reommended at this time.

Return of the King I found Return of the King to be a very impressive and satisfying conclusion to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. If Peter Jackson is ignored at the Oscars this year, I will have lost all faith in the Academy as a fair judge of cinematic achievement.

LOTR: Return of the King Ladies and gentlemen, this film has Oscar written all over it. It has a composite score of 100 at MetaCritic, after fourteen reviews. The film is three hours and twenty minutes long. Should I go see it at midnight tonight? That is the question.

CDBurnerXP Pro 2.1.2 CDBurnerXP Pro is FREE, easy to use CD burning software. It can write CD-R/CD-RW discs and it can also write disks directly from ISO images. It can create data and audio CDs, however it currently only supports WAV files for audio. It supports Burn-Proof technology and multi-session disks. You can also rip audio CDs, normalize WAV files, encode MP3 files and erase disks. The application does not require ASPI when used under for NT/2000/XP. (Direct Download Link, 9 MB) NOTE: I have tested it and it works great. There are, however, two things that I should mention. First, you must have Windows Media Player 9 installed to use this application. Second, it will not burn audio CD's directly from MP3's.
