Three 'Rings' Films "Make a string of appointments at your movie theater to see all three "Lord of the Rings" films in December. "Rings" distributor New Line Cinema recently announced it is planning a special screening series leading up the release of the final film in the epic trilogy. "Fellowship of the Ring" and "Two Towers" will roll into theaters across the U.S. in sequential order before the December 17 release of the "The Return of the King," so die-hard fans can catch all three films on the big screen in the same month."

Virus Trouble For the past two days my Inbox has been inundated with messages infected with Sobig.F virus. I simply Shift-Delete them and say good-bye. Simple enough, but still, what a royal pain. Some of the infected messages are over 100K in size, making this virus particularly painful to my 56K connection. Meanwhile, I've managed to steer clear of The Worm.

S.W.A.T. I saw S.W.A.T. last weekend, and I liked it. It's a decent cop/buddy/guy movie.
Man & Wife Congratulations to Derek and Michelle! We wish you all of the best.

Is Zip coming undone? This sounds like a real nightmare. Personally, I love WinZip.

Meet the Spam Kings "Wading through hundreds of unwanted e-mails? Blame Scott Richter. He brags that his company fires off several hundred million e-mails every day, hawking everything from Viagra to aluminum siding. "We're in the top 10 in the world for sending e-mail," he says. Thanks in part to Richter's efforts, e-mail inboxes are getting more and more crowded. The various financial schemes, wacky offers, miracle cures, porn ads, and other unsolicited offers - often derided collectively as spam - accounted for less than 10 percent of all e-mail traffic two years ago, experts say."
Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over Easily the weakest film in the series, but Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over was worth the ticket. It was, in fact, the first 3-D film that either of us had ever seen. It moves along more like an amusement ride than a movie.
Daredevil We watched Daredevil on DVD the other night. We both enjoyed it. I wasn't particularly drawn to any of the characters, but the overall flow of the movie kept me interested. Jon Favreau, a talented writer/director/actor, is very funny in this movie. Don't miss the hidden gag reel on the second disc - it's hilarious.
