Vista Complete PC Backup: Miserable Failure After performing a number of tests on two machines, I've concluded that Vista's Complete PC Backup feature is an embarrasing failure. I strongly recommend that Vista users purchase a third-party complete backup software suite, such as Norton Ghost 12. In my tests, Vista's backup routine failed - over and over, despite a few successes.

Symantec (and others) perfected this technology years ago. If Microsoft cannot deliver a solution in their most expensive version of Vista (Ultimate), shame on them. Unforgivable.
