I just read that you're planning on releasing a Blu-ray player for $600 this summer. No thanks. I can wait you out. Why am I so confident?

I can now buy a high-quality VCR/DVD Combo player for less than $60. A little research reveals that your first Betamax player retailed for $2,300, (equal to $12,000 today, adjusted for inflation).

Therefore, I think I can wait until your Blue-Ray player becomes either (a) obsolete, like your Betamax format, or (b) less than $200, whichever comes first.
