Vista Closes Upgrade Loophole I have no objections to company protecting its software and making it difficult for pirates to steal their software. However, this move by Microsoft makes it laborious for legal owners of previous versions of Windows to perform a 'clean install' using Upgrade media. Boo. Hiss. More and more. (I have not personally tested this new feature. I would welcome some input by an actual user.)
