Super Storm Headed for New Orleans A mandatory evacuation order has been issued for the city of New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina, now a Super Storm of historic proportions, poses a serious threat to the city. Police are preparing boats to navigate city streets! The Superdome and nine other sites have been setup as 'Refuges of Last Resort'. Public transit is giving free rides to these shelters. It is expected that even these shelters will lose power. The situation does not look good for the more than 100,000 persons that have no way of leaving the city, due to finances or health.
