V: The Final Battle Our V: The Final Battle DVD set arrived this week. It's a two-disc set featuring the three episodes that made up this 1984 sequel to the original V Mini-Series. We've watched two of the three episodes. This is only the second time that I've seen these movies, and it's Courtney's first. I watched them as a kid, back in 1983 and 1984, and they blew my mind. They hold up pretty good, even today, I must say. The special effects involving the laser guns still look good, but the effects involving the spaceships and makeup are very dated. However, the character devlopment and plot are satisfying.
