What happened to summer?

Courtney and I watched Hitchcock's Psycho last night. Norman Bates gets my vote as "Creepiest Villan" any day. Perhaps he's not the scariest guy on film, but his nervous creepiness is still effective onscreen, even now. This movie was scarier the first time I saw it. When you already know the surprises, it doesn't quite give you the same jolt. Still, if you haven't seen it, be sure to check it out. It's on Ebert's list of "Great Movies".

DivX 4.01 has been released.

The SirCam worm is still wreaking havoc worldwide.

My sinuses are jacked up.

We've had a lot of enjoyable company this weekend. Kip and Angie stayed with us Friday night. Steve and Beth have been with us for the past two nights.

My favorite store in Northpark Mall is by far Williams-Sonoma. You must see this place! They have anything you could possibly need in your kitchen.

My PC is now a dual-boot machine with Windows 2000 and Windows ME. I hate ME. But, I want to play a few games that Windows 2000 does not support. Go figure.

It is cooling off a bit, here in MS. It has been a long, hot summer. Our landlord finally replaced our AC unit. It works really good.

Unfortunately, I've been too busy to write any new commentary. This week, however, I will not let you down.

I'm working on a page of weblog links. View it here.

CloneCD 3.0.8.1 has been released.

The world's largest magnifying glass has disappeared! Must see!

I heard the new Michael Jackson single on the radio last night. I like it.

Thanks to Jim for this link. Give it a try.

I'm returning my digital cable TV console. I hate how slow it is. It takes at least half of a second to change between channels. Unacceptable! The analog cable is lightning fast and ten dollars cheaper. I was testing the digital service for free.

Last night we went swimming with Glen and Melissa at the LakeBend pool. Afterwards we enjoyed ice cream. Aaron was there and played some great accoustic numbers on the guitar.

Courtney is working for Wilson KIA today. She's one of the drivers moving cars to the fairgrounds for their big sale.

The IE 6.0 page was evidently enjoyed by many. This site was visited by 397 people yesterday.

I'm now keeping up with these new newsgroups for Windows XP:

         Windows XP General
         Windows XP Customize
         Windows XP New Users
         Windows XP Performance & Maintenance
         Windows XP Drivers
         Windows XP Hardware

I'm not worried about this happening.

Some feel that M$ is constructing a new monopoly.

Big Blue has a new logo.

Courtney's parents were not able to visit with us this weekend. Hopefully we will see them this coming weekend.

A friend of ours is a lifeguard at Rapids, so we got free passes on Sunday. We had fun, but the water was not very cold, and therefore, not very refreshing on an August afternoon in MS. Many thanks to Beth for the free passes!

Punkture brings us another great trailer park link.

I downloaded and installed Internet IE 6.0 last night. It seems to work OK. I'm not holding my breath. I created this page to assist anyone who would like to download the entire program.

Please tell me that Bill isn't shopping for Hillary!

More sad news.

IBM continues to rally behind Linux. Peguin power to the people!

Ever wonder why Mickey D's fries taste so good? The answer is here.

Courtney's parents will be visiting us this weekend. We are planning on going to Rapids if the weather permits. It is hot and humid today. I'm ready for fall.

All I want is this.

Windows XP is complete and it now has an official homepage.

PartitionMagic 7 has been released. This is an excellent product, but overpriced.

I actually like five of the songs on this week's pop chart.

Last night Courtney and I saw the latest Jackie Chan movie, Rush Hour 2. I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the first movie. Of interest, there is a relatively new actress in the film named Roselyn Sanchez. Courtney correctly pointed out to me that she resembles Sandra Bullock. It's true. She looks like a Hispanic Sandra Bullock.

We ate a little catfish at Cock of the Walk on the reservoir last night. They have great food, and possibly the best view in Jackson.

Apple has released an ActiveX fix for the QuickTime plugin problem that resulted when Microsoft dropped support for Netscape plugins in Internet Explorer.

Have you heard about Windows RG? I think you'll like it.

CloneCD 3.0.7.2 is now available for download.
