Django Unchained

We saw Django Unchained a few days ago. It had its moments, but overall I found it to be less fulfilling than Inglourious Basterds. I would give it a 7 out of 10. Tarantino fans should like it, but it will have limited appeal to those less familiar with Tarantino's work. Much of the subject matter is challenging, to say the least.

The English Patient

Fifteen years ago, 'The English Patient' won the Oscar for Best Picture. I watched the film for the first time, yesterday, via Netflix streaming.

What a bore. The cinematography and the score are beautiful, but this is a three-hour snooze fest.

You may recall that Elaine on Seinfeld infamously hated the film.
